Zen culture is associated with simplicity, naturalness and retreat. It also comes from Kyoto where our houses are located. Each house has a personal history, they are ancient places that were unoccupied, vacant or abandoned (akiya 空き家, in Japanese), when they were purchased and then fully restored for offering a comfortable accommodation.

Kyoto Zen House presents houses that have been designed by different carpenters based in Kyoto. Some of these houses are available for short-term or for long-term rental, some others are only used by their owners.

Kyoto Zen House owners have a common interest in providing quality houses for weekly and monthly rentals. In this case, houses are operated by professional tour operators (Japan Experience, Shiki Properties, Hachise), they are fully equipped, including linen, towels and essential items.

Please contact us by email if you have any questions about our rentals.
